Located in the historic Dublin Neighborhood of Saratoga Springs' west side, The Local Pub and Teahouse is a neighborhood bar/restaurant serving traditional English and Irish specialties with a unique selection of craft beers and organic teas from around the world.  Affectionately known as “The Local,” keeping with Irish tradition of referring to the closest neighborhood pub as “their local,” you will find friendly and attentive servers who quickly remember your name after a few visits.

Whether you’re one of our frequent neighborhood patrons or are coming to the Saratoga Springs area for the first time, take the time to relax and enjoy a few hours in what many refer to as the only “legitimate pub in Saratoga Springs.” Our visiting Irish patrons always tell us "you make me feel at home."

When the weather breaks and you’re ready to get out of the warm, cozy interior of The Local, it’s time to enjoy our Pub Garden filled with café style tables and chairs along with our own uniquely designed “Local” Adirondack chairs. Enjoy a personal pot of tea, your favorite beer or glass of wine and relax under the canopy of the trees and flower filled gardens. It’s certainly become one of the hidden summer retreats in Saratoga Springs. When your belly is full and palette sufficiently wet, take a stroll down Beekman Street, known as the “Arts District,” where you will find a unique selection of galleries and gift shops along with a host of other small businesses and services.

When your lunch and dinner needs have been met, come to the greatly popular “Weekend Brunch.” Served from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM Saturday and Sunday featuring the Irish Breakfast: a host of omelettes, pancakes and local specialties using fresh eggs from local farms, traditional banger style sausages and irish style bacon from Oscar’s smokehouse. Come early, there is usually a wait after 11:00am.

Having been selected for several awards every year since first opening, come find out why The Local has been honored with “Best Beer Selection,” “Best Fish and Chips,” “Best Burger” and “Best Neighborhood Bar.” Our beer selection is constantly changing with some sort of Pilsner, Lager, Ale, IPA, Hefewiezen and Stout always on tap. If that doesn’t tempt you, there are dozens of specialty bottle beers available to broaden your beer tasting experience. Be careful, some of them can weigh in at a hefty 10.9% AC.
